Prima Aprilis

Spring is in the air, and it’s time to start planting seeds and getting the garden ready for the growing season. The weather was perfect for gardening – a nice dry day with just the right amount of warmth. Kids were busy filling empty loo rolls with soil and potting seeds in them.

Potatoes were planted directly into the ground, which was a great opportunity for children to get their hands dirty. Lots of seeds were planted, including courgettes, beans and marigolds.

As the kids worked on their gardening tasks, others were busy tidying up the garden, pulling weeds and clearing gaps between pavers. The session was a success, with everyone enjoying the opportunity to get outside. It was a great reminder of the simple pleasures that come with gardening – the feel of the soil, the smell of fresh herbs (mustard leaves!), and the satisfaction of watching something grow and thrive under collective care.
